Illustration for a laptop skin

The purpose of this project was to create an illustration using multi-media methods (here I've used ink, cotton, cut-paper, string, wire, and Photoshop) to bring these varied elements together to create an image for a laptop skin. The illustration was to interpret Nelson Mandela's words: "It always seems impossible until it's done."

A caterpillar transforming into a butterfly...it would seem an impossibility but somehow, nature takes its course, the transformation is complete, and we realise that this miraculous procedure of metamorphosis is very much possible. Thus, "impossible until it's done."
